I think Jacqueline is wrong...we haven’t seen pilots lining up outside the doors since 2015, that time is over now!
Then you do not ask for a conversion of your licence but for a validation, yes it means that the admin office has to do some paperwork but it is not impossible, maybe she prefers not to be involved; for sure because of the numbers of pilots hired every year by the company in Maun, is easier for them to do it but no way CAAB is in better cooperation with Maun operators!
I strongly believe that what the Mack Air chief pilot told you is the thruth, they hired a good numbers of pilots in the last few months and many if not most of the senior pilots will stay for one more year at least
