Found out this morning that Mack Air is all set for 2019 pilot group although CP Darren reports that “things can always change unexpectedly” and was encouraging about showing up to meet with him.
Jacqueline at KASAC notes that these Maun operators are notoriously slippery when it comes to giving out realistic information about their pilot demands because, as she puts it, “they are accustomed to having pilots line up outside their doors looking for jobs” so basically they don’t need to bother making promises to abstract pilots via email.
She also insinuated that KASAC is not able to help with the conversion to BOTS license and the best place to do that is thru the operators in Maun bc “they seem to know th best/easiest way to do it” and also seemed to imply that the aviation authority is in better cooperation with the Maun operators. Anyone know more about this?
