It was founded early in 1953, evolving from pleasure flights operated by Butlins holiday camp group; in this instance from Broomhall airfield at Pwllheli.
They had a mixed fleet of Rapide/Auster/Gemini/Heron and Viking. Liverpool flying Club was involved.
The Herons flew Newcastle to Glasgow/Manchester/Copenhagen and Hamburg and later, after a buyout by Hunting-Clan, to Paris/Bergen/Belfast/Amsterdam and Dusseldorf.
The name disappeared in 1957 when Dragon became a part of Silver City Airways.
