So what we have with the transfer of the route to Heathrow is:
* The existing PSO subsidy was about to run out and has been renewed. That's the government involvement explained.
* Heathrow offers £15 / pax discount on handling charges for new UK routes. That's Heathrow's involvement explained.
* Flybe was able to obtain remedy slots at LHR from the IAG/bmi takeover. That's the airline's involvement explained.
I really can't see anything more substantive for the airline than this - other than that it might be able to sell its existing slots at LGW.
