Only if that information has monetary value (probably only intellectual property) and you can prove that you lost out and they gained as a direct result of them misleading you with some kind of intent. Even then it would be difficult to prove but a lawyer would guide you.
If you gave up information just because someone lied to you, I’d say there’s not much you can do unless the CAA Guy was breaking the law, lying isn’t illegal.
