TDC has a pop. of about 250 with expats or so. There are no plans for an airport on Tristan Da Cuhna.
I am unsure people there would want an airport and see much more visitors coming.
Some of the expats seem desperate for outside company, the islanders not so much. They are friendly though, mind you. It would lose a lot of its special appeal
