Flew XV730 in Sharjah on a great sortie. Called out to do a Medevac on a Saturday; I was the duty pilot for being a bad boy!! The casualty was on the BP British Argosy which was due to be 80nm south of the southern tip of Masirah on the Monday! Flew via Nizwa where an Andover dropped fuel for us and night stopped at Masirah. Pick up was straighforward (we had a Shackleton as 'top cover' ). Just wondering if this was the longest Medevac undertaken by a Mk 2 Wessex.
