Further to the Allegiant A319 saga: I watched G-EZIP going out for a "test drive" from Stansted yesterday. The track showed a full tour around East Anglia, with altitudes varying from 13,000ft to 39,000ft. As this one was returning to Stansted, Alleginat N315NV (ex G-EJAR) departed Stansted for delivery to the US. It seems it went first to Bangor, Maine, presumably to get more go juice, then off to Puerto Rico. Stansted to Bangor ME; that is a long way for an A319 surely?
Most would tend to do a stopover in KEF, but with an empty ship and favourable weather, a possibility. Bangor would also be used to clear customs.
