Thomas Cook hit lower than that, I think it was 10p sometime around 2011/12 before shooting up to £1.80 within a year or so. I think the chance of BE shares doing that are slim to nonexistent, but at current low levels even a rise of a few pennies gives big returns. Such rises could come from takeover talk for instance.
