SOU put all there eggs in one basket with Flybe many years ago!
Without the proposed limited expansion plans in place the airport could be in for a big decline in pax if Flybe go down .Certainly BOU could and will take full advantage of such a situation,they have the airline(Ryan air) and possibly Jet 2 ,plus most importantly the runway in place to make it all possible.
Certainly things don't look to rosy with Flybe,and SOU needs them more then any other airport!
Don’t disagree RW20 with your comments, hence why I hope they survive. With the planned expansion, this will potentially add a further airline/s that will help to dilute the reliance on BE and open up more destinations and opportunities!
