nvubu has it.

It is the airstrip known as Song Be City, in the middle of the town of Phước Long, also known as Sông Bé City. Sông Bé means the River Bé, which flows through this valley. The Fire Support Base 5km to the southwest was known as FSB Buttons, but was also referred to as Song Be. It was one of the biggest FSBs in this part of Vietnam.

Thanks for the tip about Bing Maps. The imagery is remarkable detailed, much better than Google, although older. I can clearly see the Town Hall and the FSB Buttons runway, complete with markings. Google Earth shows the area is now a grid of roads.

For the "avoidance of doubt", the Town Hall is at 11°51'13.62"N, 106°59'46.76"E and FSB Buttons is at 11°49'8.47"N, 106°57'39.53"E

The hill to the south is Núi Bà Rá (White Virgin Mountain). It had a communications base on it during the war. Further south, near Tay Ninh, is a similar mountain called Núi Bà Đen (Black Virgin Mountain), which also was used for communications. They are both isolated volcanic plugs.

I reckon it might be Phuoc Binh
I have a friend called Ms. Phước and another called Ms. Bình. The former is aware of the humour in her name. I suggested that she should not go to Yorkshire!
