Under fire: IN COMMING!
Put a collar on Cpt B and teach him new tricks, EH!
You do not have any idea what You are talking about, do You
It is not possible to measure fatigue. Even the definition is disputed. That so called scientific research was not even close to such. Not even done on pilots!!
I , on the other hand have some 30 years of empirical" research" done over 20 000 hrs.
I have FOs falling asleep on me on a weekly bases. They live on the base and are on 5/.4 roster. 25 years old 2 years in the business, and they tell me horror stories about Cpt Sleepy and Cpt S. Norring. Students in the sim at night forgetting their middle name!!
The limit has been crossed long time ago by the CAAs and the MoneyMen.
I regularly flew 12 hrs shifts for 5 days in a row, two sectors. 40 000km + that is a full Global rotation, and a bit, in 5 days.
I commuted , it was legal, but exhausting.
Know Your OWN limit and stop well before, it is the law. And it is easy.
PS I did 5 on 13 off and 800+ hrs a year.
Now what is Your experience, Mr Underfire?
