If Barnaby makes a comeback, are all bets off?

I can't speak for the AOPA board but a few observations:

It is my understanding that there was a lot of progress made with St Barnabas in January this year and that it had bi-partisan support from Albo. Obviously, events overtook that work and McCormack MP is a bit less colourful than his predecessor.
CASA has maintained to successive Ministers that the GA sector would never be able to unite and agree on anything. Pollies hate making changes that leave them open to attack so of course they will never make changes that will leave them open to criticism, especially when the "All-about-safety-regulator" recommended against it.
Wagga's sole purpose was to demonstrate to the Minister and the Department weenies that yes, actually, the Industry CAN unite and the industry WILL unite.
Much effort now is going into building relationships with Albo and the cross-bench because there's not much point wasting time on the Coalition government, that's for sure.
