LDG_GEAR _MONITOR,

A bad memory controller sure explains your problems with the previous mobo.

As for this hard drive. Make sure you are not hiding system and hidden files. Then check the size of your pagefile. It will be in the root directory under the name - pagefile.sys

If you did not set the pagefile to be a static size, it will resize itself and can take up most of the unused space on the hard drive. I use a pagefile min and max size of 384Mb. That way it does not waste CPU Cycles resizing itself and it does not fragment itself either.

Take Care,

Richard

P.S. Remember on many hard drives the GB is explained as 1.000.000.000 bytes and nothing else. But in Windows 1 Gbyte = 1024 Mbytes = 1073741824 bytes or 8589934592 bits.
