The current graduates who commenced training in Feb 17 are commencing their B787 type at the moment.
I know of some graduates from previous courses (circa 2015) that waited over a year before commencing type rating.

As for employment. There is no guarantee, once you commence course, JetStar issue you a letter with a conditional offer of employment. Conditions include successfully completing the course and the need for position and type rating course availability.

ADAPT testing includes, coordination, maths and physics questions (no calculators allowed), personality questionnaire.
At the interview day, the morning consists of group activities. The 3 activities include a group problem solving construction task, a group debate, and a survival exercise. None of the group activities are aviation related, the intent of this is to level the playing field for all applicants as it is aimed at an ab initio course.
Then you have an interview with the selection panel. The panel consist of three or four people, ranging from JetStar HR, through to CAE instructors. The individual interview will ask question surrounding leadership, teamwork, dedication, knowledge of the process and aviation industry.

Good luck,
