This year the C-17 was late for its time-slot for the F1 GP. People knew it was meant to arrive but like myself had lost interest looking up into yonder at nothing. The net result when it did finally make its entrance completely unannounced and at speed was spectacular to say the least..
Having been involved in more than a few displays or flypasts for big events I would be absolutely amazed if the delay had anything to do with the C17. Most likely the delay was due to the F1 event coordinator requirements.
