A320 flight control check

Hello everyone,

1) One of my friends was wondering if there is a particular reason as to why we wait after the second engine start to do our flight control check.
I can see how if we were single engine taxiing with only one hydraulic system, it might be a bad idea but since we have the PTU on, that shouldn't be the issue.
Electrical redundancy for the flight control computers?
Not really important but just curious.
2) Why do we wait after autobrakes armed to do the Flight control check? Years ago, somebody told me that it was to avoid possible autobrake engagement while deploying spoilers on the ground. I couldn't find anything in the FCOM. Any truth to that?
3) My company doesn't do the SEC reset after engine start. Is it possible that it is because we are not equipped with SEC C model? We operate a mix of super ancient 319/320 and brand new 321's.

Thanks a lot!
