Mary Heath flew a Boeing Stearman (top left logo), From Capetown to Goodwood over 7000 miles in 6 weeks (it must have taken her a further 6 weeks to get from Goodwood to Croydon then). Oh, not forgetting of course that Mary Heath set off on 1st November and her plane was secretly called the Spirit of Artemis.
