AFAIK the 787 is still flying to Rome, and I am unaware of any new routes from Beijing. Routes from Beijing are 'owned' by Air China, so any plan is just that and depends on Air China giving up or agreeing to the route. I have said it a long time before on this Forum. A new RSP basing can take a long time to materialise (and long means years). So unless you are happy to wait in the CAN base for that to happen, think very carefully! I am not aware of any potential PEK basing either.
