I don’t think there was ever any doubt TA could work from STN...but unless Jet2 go into the market (unlikely), or TC replicate what they’ve done at MAN (unlikely), or JetBlue come over (vaguely possible) there will not be a NYC route because the established players will not dilute LHR unless they have to. Even LGW didn’t have a NY route until Norwegian came along.
