The present king of the Netherlands flew anonymously for many years with KLM. In fact, it only became public knowledge when he ascended the throne and had to quit flying. Even inside KLM, few people knew their future king took the helm from time to time, and to help keep it a secret he always flew with the same skipper. Don't know of any other members of European royal families who've flown a commercial jet. And if there are, that's just further proof not everyone needs or seeks the attention.
That actually makes my point- WHY did he keep it anonymous? It would have ben incredible press fodder had it become known. I also don't think there was much n the way of culture-slashing advancement in the idea of a white man becoming a pilot!!
