Been the case since 1993! . CX needed 5000 hours in those days. Then 3000 for B scale DEFO. Then TP like DASH 8 . Now , 500 hours total?
Anyway , as long as the pilots are happy to join & and live within their means, then who are we to criticise?
It wouldn’t be me , but hey, I value living in space rather than a shoe box or sharing. But if you take guys in their early 20s , they can adapt . The money will attract them, eap if the company puts the whole package in the adverts like for thise Chinese contracts. Earn Circa 1.7 million as first year FO.
we all know the story .
