We should have this as a sticky, together with spyware!
The concensus seems to be that the best option is to avoid IE and move to
Opera , which blocks them automatically, but that if you are obliged to use IE, then, as
4granted says the latest Google toolbar is effective.
This should not be confused with MSN popups which have their own mechanism to be switched off.
