Two destinations I think could be in running to be added from LGW for S19 are Chicago and Dubai,
Chicago - Seasonal 3 x weekly 3 class 777 Service (BA currently operate 1 x 747 (Configured 14F/86J/30W/145Y) and 1 x A380 (Configured 14F/97J/55W/303Y). For S19 flights are showing as operating 2 x 747 daily. This means they will be 77J/175W/1106Y less seats a week available)
Dubai - BA105/BA104 rotation is very popular with leisure pax due to it’s late evening departure from LHR and lunchtime departure from DXB. Moving this 5 x weekly summer frequency to LGW would fit with the premium leisure market that BA targets at LGW. This route could easily operate year round increasing to Daily from W19
BA plan to continue to grow there LGW longhaul operation over the coming years. Targeting the premium leisure market. I think that direct flights to destinations such Goa, Kochi, Krabi or Phuket would be great additions
