No, that's not what it's about. Trump's goal is to "reduce Iran’s oil exports “
down to zero” which will have a massive deleterious effect on their economy, which is already in a very wobbly state. And it is hoped that an economic collapse will also result in further domestic unrest and ultimately regime change.
