A lot of talk of links from SOU with destinations like Madrid and Barcelona for example,but for these to transpire and survive requires a forward looking management team with good back up advertising!.Alas this is not the case with SOU and hasnt been for many a year i.e. Vueling to Barcelona,and currently Flylolo to Skiathos for example.As quoted many times in the past,SOU has the catchment,transport links and much potential for expansion given investment and good management.There rests the case!
If it's aviation opportunities are constrained by runway length then perhaps the number crunchers are thinking there are more investment returns to be had by turning it into housing or industrial development. The lack of marketing and airport infastructure modernisation is concerning.
