As a private pilot and with a non flying job my observations are...
a You must be desperate to consider working under these conditions and with such shady characters as Mr P'Dexter et al.
b You must be loaded with cash to think of throwing away 50K on such a venture.
c Too much commercial flying obviously dulls the senses.
d Aviation is not the only employment situation that attracts ar*eholes as Management.
e Con Men are a fact of life since man/womankind emerged from the swamps.
