Cal it revenge for the number of times I've trodden in dog s**t thoughtfully left by mutts and their sociopathic owners in the middle of footpaths, etc. We've at least three sheep or goats mauled by large dogs on my local commons in recent years and I think you'll find it's usually foxes that rip open bin bags. You could always try leaving them out on the morning of collection instead of the night before.

Thank you to dog owners who do bother to clear up after their hounds, or at least encourage them to do their business off piste as it were.
