Latest nonsense... now our C/A have to inspect and break seals on catering vehicles, and then sign a document. Nobody is able to explain why this is necessary.
We had a "security" person (probably a DETR inspector) come leaping up the steps of the aircraft after we were fully boarded and waiting for a loadsheet, wave his ID around and then imply that he has spotted some sort of security lapse because he was able to get to the top of the steps unchallenged. this is mind-numbing stupidity...
