He was put in the bunks to rest, and on the transit back to the middle eastern base, the flight deck radioed ahead to have a medic meet the aircraft and give the ill crew member a bit of tlc. Imagine the surprize therefore to find a full medical team with ambulance and blue flashers escort the aircraft off the runway with a full resus team waiting to get on board. It would appear that the military hospital received the message that one of the crew had "shot himself".
