Bristol is one of the richest areas in the UK and has the catchment area of the whole of the Southwest UK but Heathrow is only 90 mins down the road for a large part of the area. It could work from Bristol.
Cardiff would need onward connections to stand a chance and a lot of advertising in the US and a lot of cheap prices!
