By the way, we have a couple of little exercises we do in the sim, which it would be nice to try in real life. First is 09L at LHR to 10 at LCY in the quickest possible time- not climbing above 50 feet helps! The second is depart 28, do a steep turn around the Canary Wharf tower at about the 15th floor level, and back to land on 10 in the shortest possible time.
BTW you will need to get those inflatable rescue boats out for both of these exercises, as both usually involve ending up in the water... can you arrange that for us...???
