Thank you for the information. However, most of us simply want a decent hotel and the ability to enjoy the time wherever we are staying, and to do so in safety. I think it's a bit of a stretch to suggest that Oakland is a particularly safe place, and certainly not as overall safe as SFO. Regardless of your personal feelings about the place, for crew from HKG, flying into SFO, having to travel to and from Oakland is really not an improvement in our situation.
