You are right we had 18 Emirates cadets at Flydubai and we trained them , they all went back to Emirates ( after they reached 1500 hours , if I am correct )
The reason why it has been stopped is that initially the deal was that after 3 years they should have had the choice between going back to Emirates or to stay at Flydubai.
But Emirates ( being short of pilot ) wanted them all back despite the fact that some of them wanted to stay.
Also Flydubai didn't want to spend so much time and money to train them and then loosing them for the Emirates's benefit , Emirates refuses to pay the real cost so Flydubai started his own second officer and cadet program which works very well if I look at the number of the trainee joining the scheme.
