By the looks of the picture, the fire started on the left hand side of firewall, where the electric fuel pump is mounted, above the fuel bowl, because you can see the main concentration of burnt marks from there. Or maybe it was just an intense flame that was there, that spread back into cockpit with forward airflow directing back into cabin? just analysing.
