I'm pretty sure the cost of running an airshow of this size is why the cost of the tickets are so high. But yet again, we have the same old moaners saying the same thing every year (or two in the case of Farnborough). Yes yes, in the 70s the sky was black due to so many Hunters and Phantoms screaming around the skies at Mach 6. And entry was only 20p. We get it.
So, are you saying that it wasn't better back in the day? Given the amount of British manufacturers we then had I would kindly beg to differ. But, after 1984, it lost its appeal for me. I was lucky enough to be taken as a child to the 1966 show, my first, and then every show up to 84.
