What sort of charts do you use? I write on my CAA half mil charts all the time (the laminated ones). Even paper Jepperson charts (tried it once, didn't like it) can be written on in pencil.

Edited because I think I realise what you mean. Canadian and US charts are so cheap that you scribble on them and throw them away
