I have put this post on the Stansted forum but it affects all London airport's. A well known sports travel company is unable to operate a charter flight to Samara on Saturday for the England v Sweden football match due to no night slots been available from any London airport.. The flight is being operated from East Midlands. A sign of things to come
I suspect (for STN at least) it may also be the case they cannot secure any ground handling, with Swisssport now the only handling option available for passenger flights from the main terminal my understanding is they are maxed out at most times, and with this weekend being one of the busiest of the year as well they are concentrating on their current portfolio of airlines and refusing any ad-hoc work to try and ensure some level of service to their customers.
