It is strange that they kept your documents. I received mine back straight away. Perhaps it was an admin error? Definitely try to call them on monday. Otherwise if you're in a position to get them verified at any large airport with actual qantas ground crew just go and ask to speak with a manager and get them to sign and then send those docs through on your application web page.
