You are correct it depends on when you travel,i have been through twice on return trips since the new year and they were stress free experiences. Hopefully the new terminal should cater for the syressed-out, tumultuous people's and the chaotic nature of both T1 and T2 at this current momne tin time.
Although time will tell...
I have high hopes for the new terminal and I believe it will bolster opportunity in the North on the whole; not just within Manchester itself. With easier transportation and access to higher/better quality facilities should also be a contributing factor to burst the growth of the North and Britain's economy.
