As one who experiences the joy of UK airport security daily, may I respectfully say that, while I agree with most of what's been posted here, it's an entirely separate subject to the thread topic (see earlier post re. "Conflation"). Is it really the contention that discussion of a specifically targeted measure against flight crew by one country be addressed by highlighting generic overzealousness, however tiresome, elsewhere.
