What would you consider a good salary for a wife to be on?
My wife has a few job options if we decide to make the move and we think the salary’s on offer for her profession are good but hard to gauge if it will be worth it.
You can’t generalise, it depends on her profession. If, for example, she is in a medical field she’ll probably find it quite easy to get a job. If she’s western trained such jobs can pay very well.
On the other hand many organisation right now are cutting costs left, right and centre. Replacing expensive western employees with cheaper ones in every area possible.
A salary that seems good or even amazing to you at home may not go far here when you factor in the cost of living.
As with all the other stuff people are talking about on here, do your research! Speak to people already here.
