We received an email from airport operations just before they closed on Friday afternoon, confirming that they would reopen on Monday 4th as provisionally advised, 09:00-17:00, albeit with the host of operating restrictions. However, that was at least a start and very welcome for the microlight training school, the aircraft maintenance company, the gyroplane flying school and all the private owners who’ve been stuck for over 6 months.
Then at lunchtime on Saturday, a further email arrived stating that “due to circumstance beyond their control” (sic), they would no longer be opening from 4th June.
