I'd like to suggest that, when it comes to pilot recruitment, it can sometimes be a case of whether or not they think you will fit in the clique
IMHO it doesn’t matter whether it’s a one aircraft outfit or a much bigger organisation I’d suggest if your face “fails to fit” to such an extent that you’d fail what has been described as “the beer test” then you are going to struggle. That said a real outlier might be able to get by for longer at a large airline but word does get round.
