It didn't have RB211s, it had JT9Ds...
From what I remember, EMA seized it with a view to selling it on to recoup unpaid airport charges but, once it became apparent it was not going to fly again it was scrapped in situ as your images show, both engines were saved and kept in open storage which essentially scuppered what little chance there was of actually selling them on!
