@plans123 - I'm not denying that. I'm hoping I can still give at least a few months of service over the busy summer period. The airline selection process is often quite protracted and there's inevitably going to be a wait to start a type rating course. Plus I'm hoping it will be some valuable experience that will give me a much greater appreciation of what the ground staff do when I do eventually I get to the flight deck.

I've actually been invited to interview for a couple of Ramp Agent roles and a Passenger Service agent role. So presumably my pilot aspirations weren't an issue but I would be very surprised if they didn't ask me about it in the interview. Of course, I wouldn't want to lie, but I feel like outright telling them I have no real career aspirations with them won't go down well.

So, does anyone have any thoughts on what I should say? Or are you ground guys sick of us cadets blagging our way into jobs and then pissing off at short notice?
