I was fascinated, especially by the Chinese fishing fleet and the Chinese mother ship in the lagoon.
They worked all night at fishing the atoll dry.Maybe their mission is complete and they have left.
The comment at the time was that the Chinese were filling in where the USA had withdrawn. I could see it then and I understand it better now.
