The pilot was a Flight Test Engineer with Handley Page at Radlett prior to joining either the CAA or ARB - I can't remember which.
I flew with him on a number of occasions, on R&D flying, on the Jetstream back in the late 60s.
We were both disciples of NMW who did much to encourage our flying aspirations.
