Australian PPL->CPL training question

Hi PPrune,

This is my first post - apologies if I'm posting in the wrong forum, or if this has been asked before.

I am trying to determine the best way to progress to CPL / ATPL, from my current base of PPL(A).

Context. I did not pass RAAF 2FTS in 2008, and gained about 200 hours. This enabled me to recently convert my experience to a PPL(A) with a few different endorsements.

I would like to get back into flying, and rather than just focusing on PPL currency, continue to progress my interest, knowledge, and experience, through training for a CPL and possibly eventual ATPL (without a specific career, job, or goal in mind).

Question. I am Melbourne-based, are there recommendations for:
1) the school to go through, that offers the sort of flexibility and understanding of my non-standard training background, and;
2) the mechanism of training (self-guided, part-time, VET/FEE-HELP, etc.) that is available.

Other insights, information, and advice kindly appreciated. Having been out of the loop for some time, I welcome all suggestions.

Thank you.
