From what I understand this is a new elite compliance unit reporting directly to the Führer. Similar to the SS
The only employees actually working at EK at the moment are all the operational staff - Engineering, Airport services, Flight Ops and Service Delivery (Cabin Crew).
They are stretched to breaking point and are complaining/leaving due to the poor working conditions and treatment by management.
This new unit will be responsible to ensure these operational employees are compliant and continue rowing to keep the ship afloat. Any operational staff complaining and not appreciating the great opportunity endowed on them by EK will be dealt directly by this new department.
The new Operational Oversight Units role is to instill fear and ensure compliance - a separate assassination squad is part of the new unit to make sure we have pilots in the cockpit and cabin crew onboard to continue our operation.
Any dissent, complaints, sick calls or resignations will be swiftly dealt with by the new DV-POO.
Beatings will continue - obviously it is the operational staffs' fault for the financial performance and demise of this organization - the new unit will keep everyone inline. The management is perfect, beyond question - operational staff with no say on policies, procedures and working conditions are to blame - thank goodness there are no unions, otherwise there could be a risk of effective communication between front line staff and management. Lets be glad that management have no idea what front line employees are experiencing, feeling or thinking .... it could be constructive..and lead to change - but that's haram..lets keep our heads in the sand..everything will be great inshallah.. .
Seriously this place is getting beyond a joke.
Take a leaf out of the Dubai Governments book and why not instead appoint a new VP of Happiness. So many things can be changed that cost nothing and will keep bums on seats.
Instead we revert to the stick instead of the carrot, and as usual it is the people that actually work who are to blame. Everyone at EGHQ - take a long hard look at yourselves - your attitude and what you have managed to make of this once great airline - shame on you all! You need us more than we need you - when will you get it??
